Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn. Here's a little secret folks - whenever I have a guest on Big Texas Blues and we go to lunch afterwards, 99.9% of the time it's been to the Herrera's on Maple. I've lunched there with Buddy Whittington, Miss Marcy, Andrea Dawson, Gonzy Trevino, Holland K. Smith, Anson Funderburgh, Gentleman John Street, Jackie Don Loe, and Teeny Hodges, just to name a few. And most Thursday's after the show I lunch there alone. I know there's one closer to the station and one in Oak Cliff, but they are just not like this one. They don't have the same memories for me. There must be 100 Mexican food restaurants within a 10 mile radius of KNON. And the one I LOVE closes. Sigh......
