Miss Marcy & Her Texas Sugar Daddy's are are filming a video for title track "Deep Ellum" off of their new record from CSP Records. (CD Release party in conjuntion with KNON in August!). You can view the lyrics at www.missmarcy.com.
From Marcy: "It's a straight-up Texas Blues tune about Deep Ellum. You are invited to be in it!! Rather than the video be of just me singing the song like a doofus, I would prefer this to be collective of all the musicians and artists and folks that make up the Deep Ellum scene. It will be a clip video.. meaning there will be a series of clip images so you don't actually have to DO anything but look cool and be ... yourself. Dave Burris and I will be walking around with a camera crew. When you see us, stop and say hi... that's it. I promise, everyone will look good. If you are on the scene or know someone who makes the scene... tell them to be in Deep Ellum July 16th (when the sun goes down) and July 18th (when the sun goes down) Share this with them! Keep up with us on our FB page for our exact location... I'll post our whereabouts so that ya'll can find us."
