Happy 39th Anniversary this weekend to Poor David's Pub! In a town where clubs come and go with alarming speed, David Card has managed to keep Poor David's going strong by putting the emphasis on live music. Wow! What a concept - a listening and watching room where the musicians get the respect and the attention they deserve. No big screen TV's here. If only it would catch on.... Kudo's to you Mr. Card for doing what you do. And a special Happy Anniversary personally from me for booking Lou Ann Barton more years ago than I believe so that I could see her and get bit by the Blues bug.
